As I read the quote I just posted, It seems very few folks are concerned with holiness.  So I am curious, How important is holiness to you?

“Repentance that is not ongoing is not genuine; faith that does not involve surrender is not adequate; a life in which holiness does not develop is not Christian.”

“There is nothing that keeps wicked men at any one moment out of Hell, but the mere pleasure of God.”

“… Almost every natural man that hears of hell, flatters himself that he shall escape it; he depends upon himself for his own security; he flatters himself in what he has done, in what he is now doing, or what he intends to do. Every one lays out matters in his own mind how he shall avoid damnation, and flatters himself that he contrives well for himself, and that his schemes will not fail. They hear indeed that there are but few saved, and that the greater part of men that have died heretofore are gone to hell; but each one imagines that he lays out matters better for his own escape than others have done.”

Noted pro-life advocate Judie Brown, president of the American Life League (ALL), says the revelation that a well-known South Korean scientist faked his research on the cloning of embryonic stem cells is just further proof that the use of these ethically controversial stem cells is nothing more than the unnecessary destruction of innocent human life.

South Korea’s leading university says gene research superstar Hwang Woo-Suk did not produce any stem cells individually tailored to patients as he had claimed. ALL’s Judie Brown says the vast majority of ethical scientists feel Hwang deceived the public. “We actually saw people depart from his team during the course of his research,” she says, “and the bottom line is that human embryonic stem cell research has never offered any kind of therapeutic plus to anybody. There is no credibility whatsoever in human embryonic stem cell research, and there never has been.”

Hwang rose from being an obscure veterinarian to international research community fame in 2004 when he claimed to be the first investigator to clone a human embryo. But what Hwang has just proven, Brown contends, is that the only thing embryonic stem cell research proponents have, figuratively speaking, is “a deck of cards that has been built up into some kind of a pyramid that’s going to descend upon itself and be destroyed.”

Reading Mark 4 this morning, I’m reminded we have but one task…

But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”
Mark 4:20

Nearly every parable I read points to witnessing and making disciples to the glory of God. May your day be fruitful and may God be glorified by the fruit of your labors.

Well I’ve confused A.D. again (see:Hrrrrm). I don’t see this as a debate. Because this is the type of conversation where neither of us is going to “win” without total rejection of our identities. I’ve always seen this as an opportunity to simply be better understood. So many times evangelical Christians are seen as hateful hypocrites. In time, even with people who don’t agree with me, they see I am sincerely concerned with their eternal soul and operate from pure intent. And then there’s always the hope that something I write will be used by the Holy Spirit to bring someone to repentance and faith in Christ. With AD, I don’t seem to be any closer than when he first stopped by. In his latest post AD seems to still misunderstand me, my intentions or both.
