Let’s not make the same mistake Christians made with Jimmy Carter. He was a born again Christian - so he’ll be good for America.

I think the formal faith has little importance regarding salvation.
For example, I think G. W. Bush will go to hell (as a horrible sinner). Carter will go to heaven.

My original comment was only to mean that one’s faith doesn’t always equate to a conservative political view, as so many Christians wrongly assume.
Why do you think Carter will go to heaven?
And why Bush hell?
Note: I’m not objecting to what you say - I’d just like to know why you think that.
