WND’s Joe Farah, writes here:

But John McCain won’t get any help from me. He won’t get my vote. In fact, to be honest, if the Republican Party is ever going to recover itself and become the party it was under Ronald Reagan, it will happen faster if John McCain is beaten. It will happen faster if Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton gets elected and implement the Big Brother, socialist agenda they both endorse.

We’re all going to experience it in the next four years. It’s simply a question of who is going to be force-feeding it to us. I’d rather it come from the Democrats, so the American people know whom to blame.

Bring it on. I’ll do my best to expose it. Maybe the American people will wake up and rediscover the meaning of freedom after tasting elitist, top-down, command-and-control, centralized socialism.

May I suggest that we SHOULD vote for John McCain.

Here is why I think it is VERY important to vote for McCain. One of the most important things a president does is appoint supreme court judges. McCain is far more likely to and probably will appoint a conservative to that position. The make-up of the court determines the course our country to will go more than any other body on major issues. We must not hand over that appointment to a far-left socialistic person who has a different value system than most Americans.

Obama is a Marxist/Socialist and he if he has a democratic congress, he will change the USA and once the changes are made, there is little if any chance of our ever being governed again by our constitution. Some of this has already occurred with FDR’s New Deal and the Civil Rights Acts that, while intended for good, changed the way we look at personal rights forever. I am not saying that I am against civil rights for minority citizens. I am simply saying, that due to racism, laws were passed that somehow gave Americans the idea that we have a constitutional right to many things that are not stated in our constitution. Now we have reached the point of thinking we are owed many, many things that should be personal responsiblity. For example, while the pope was here, one newspaper carried a column where a man was quoted as saying the pope would deny citizens their RIGHT to birth control. Citizens now expect not only life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, but most feel that the government should provide means for the happiness rather than the opportunity for pursuit thereof.

The only people who should vote for Barrack Obama or Hillary Clinton are those who believe socialism is better than capitalism and those who believe that government control is better than free enterprise. That is what is at stake here!

Socialism is one step away from communism and we know that this has been tried and has not only failed miserably, but for it to continue it had to be enforced by dictators.

Not voting for McCain is not the same as voting for Hilliary. Don’t fall for the politics of fear. Trust God and vote your conscience.

And McCain is NOT likely to appoint conservative judges. He called Alito “too conservative.” Saying Alito wore his conservatism on his sleeve. Although he now backs away from that statement.

Beware: Some of the most liberal of our Supreme Court came from Republican Presidents. It’s a fear tactic used by the GOP to keep you voting for poor candidates. And until it hurts (like Hillary in the White House) they won’t ever listen to you beyond the election. And while I am at it, don’t fall for the “but he’s a Christian” line. G.W. Bush has been the most Pagan of all our Presidents to date.

    Ron,
I do not believe Hillary is going to be in the white house unless she is the VP and ends up there somehow riding the coattails of Obama. As for voting conscience, we will only have two choices in November. I have always tried to vote for the lesser of two evils. McCain is not the socialist that Obama is.

On your link to President Bush’s interview with Al Arabiya, I could not get there. I saw the WND story, but I have not personally seen where he has made this remark. I am very interested in finding out more about this.

A couple points to think about, Jan.

    1. The lesser of two evils is still evil.
    2. We do have more than two choices. If everyone who felt like you, that McCain was not their guy, but better than “Obillary” voted for someone in another party, or didn’t vote. I can tell you the GOP would get the message loud and clear. Check out the Constitution Party. I’m either going to vote for them or not vote for president at all. Then at least I’ll have the satisfaction of saying “don’t blame me.” I’ll also write the GOP again and explain why they didn’t earn my vote.

  5. Jan Says:

    I will consider your advice.

Do you have a link to the Constitution Party? It really troubles me for Obama to become president because a Marxist president with a liberal congress will do severe damage and once the federal government gains control of any area of our lives, they never relinguish that control.

This may be inevitable, but it still disturbs me.

And it disturbs me too. But I have to remember that God is sovereign over all things. And we, like Israel of old, get the leaders we deserve. If we all worried as much about revival and sharing our faith with our neighbors as much as we do who our next president would be, perhaps we’d have a better crop to pick from.

I’d also consider voting for the Libertarian candidate (http://www.lp.org/) before I’d vote for McCain.

    Ron

  7. Jan Says:

You are right on about revival and us getting what we deserve, but I still pray every day that the Lord will be merciful unto us. I also pray that we will meet His conditions for revival and healing according to II Chronicles 7:14. Here again, it must begin with me.
