Schools got out early in Hardin Co. Tn today. Why?
Because it snowed? No.
Because it rained (we often get out for rain; low road flooding or something)? No.
Because it was going to snow any minute? Not even that.
But the forecast called for rain this afternoon, turning to snow tonight. Tonight!
No wonder our test scores in this state are so high.
Oh, and in case you are wondering; at the time of this posting it was 46°

They closed Old Hickory Mall early too, around 7:30 pm AFTER the snow stopped.
This stuff makes me laugh, although, I am from up north and grew up with snow and lived in and with it for 33 years.
It is amazing how people freak out over a few flakes.
