One reason Katie decided to move her kids from the public school system here locally is because when she would drop them off, she didn’t feel like they were safe.
It is naive to think that nothing could happen to them at the school they now attend, (which two weeks ago suffered through the loss of a well-loved sophomore in a car accident), but it is just not right to feel uneasy about leaving your kids somewhere. We need, as a society, to provide the safest environment that we can for our children!
We need to provide safe and secure homes, schools, businesses, playgrounds…etc…, and it should all start AT HOME!
Our society needs to realize that we have to get our act together and do things GOD’s WAY because it is the ONLY WAY!

I worked with youth in churches for years. I recently quit because I’m in my 50′s now and don’t duck as fast as I use to.
I think violence in movies, TV and video games has corrupted our youth.
They no longer value life like they did when I was a teenager.
You’re joking right Jan? You are not really limiting your involvment with church youth because of fears of violence are you?
