Whatcha think?

I’m really tired of deleting spam (even though you never see them) and thinking of requiring people to register to post comments.

Honestly, I don’t mind the word verification for comments, but when it comes to having to register for a site, complete with email verification and passwords…it becomes too cumbersome to leave comments.
Site registration for blogs I frequent, like this one, is not an issue, but if I am just surfing by and want to leave a comment, and it requires site registration…I keep surfing by.

Yeah, that was my fear. And I’d have lost too much good conversation if I hadn’t heard from Tim, the pop-bottle guy, smijer or more recently the “angry dissenter”. So - no registration required - keep posting those comments and I’ll keep deleting the spam, we’ll just have to forgo that discussion on which pharmaceutical or supplement works best for you

I might be sorry for saying this, but I’ve not had trouble with spam comments. I think I’ve had one in all three years of blogging. It must be something Haloscan is doing I guess. I read about other bloggers having serious issues and it just hasn’t happened for me. For that, I’m thankful!
